Psychotherapy, CBT & Schema Therapy

In our sessions, I meet you where you are. Together, we explore where you are today, what has shaped you, and what you deeply long for.

The sessions provide you with a greater understanding of your patterns, survival strategies, and beliefs—what supports and what hinders you in life. The goal is to find new ways to enhance your well-being and quality of life.

You might be seeking help with:

  • Strengthening self-esteem
  • Reducing stress and anxiety
  • Depression
  • Burnout
  • Anxiety issues
  • Increasing life balance
  • Creating a sustainable work life
  • Improving relationships with your partner, siblings, children, or parents
  • Processing a life event
  • Support during a crisis
  • Reconnecting with yourself
  • Achieving inner peace

In our sessions, I use schema therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and psychosynthesis, depending on your specific needs and goals.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT is useful for changing thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. By reflecting and gaining awareness of what drives you, you can learn to respond more adaptive to challenging situations.

Psychosynthesis

Psychosynthesis focuses on the healthy aspects of an individual and views our potential for growth as limitless.

This approach sees people as having all the colors of the rainbow within them. Sometimes, we just need a little help discovering those colors.

In other words, we are not simply one way or another; we may not have yet developed certain qualities or abilities within us that are waiting to be discovered. Psychosynthesis also incorporates a spiritual dimension.

Schema therapy

Schema therapy is an integrative psychotherapy approach influenced by CBT, attachment theory, gestalt therapy, and psychodynamic therapy.

In schema therapy, we examine schemas—patterns of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors—that developed early in childhood. These schemas affect how we view and relate to ourselves, others, and the world as adults.

The aim is to identify dysfunctional schemas, understand how they originated, and see how they impact your life today. The goal is to heal these schemas and develop new, functional strategies to handle life’s challenges and live more authentically.

This therapy utilizes emotional, cognitive, and behavioral interventions, offering you a deeper understanding of how your childhood and life experiences have shaped you. It helps you align your life with your inner compass.

Set up of our sessions:

We start with an initial session where you share what you’re seeking help with, and I explain how I can best support you as a therapist. Together, we create a plan for our upcoming sessions.

You can also book a 15-minute free consultation if you’d like to learn more before scheduling your first session.

For therapy to be effective, it’s recommended that we meet weekly or biweekly for a continuous period of time.

We can meet at my office on Kungstensgatan 59 near Odenplan in Stockholm, or online. Sessions can also be conducted in English or German.
